The study was conducted in a plastic greenhouse located in Dokki, Giza, Egypt (Potato and Vegetatively Propagated Vegetables Research Department, Horticulture Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center, Giza, Egypt) during two seasons November- February 2021/2022 and 2022/2023. The aim of this study was to investigate minituber production for three potato varieties in aeroponic culture system versus peat moss based substrate. The differences between aeroponic and peat moss based substrate were significant with the superiority of aeroponic culture system in vegetative growth characteristics and minituber yield number. However, the substrate culture system produced lower minituber numbers per area unit with higher average minituber weights.  Furthermore, the three tested potato varieties (Diamant, Hermes and Lady Rosetta) differed significantly in vegetative growth parameters and minitubers yield. The results recommend the use of aeroponic culture system in Egyptian local seed potato production as a tool to maximize the number of pre-basic seed potato minitubers production per unit of area.
