This research presents a case study of patients treated using the medical linear accelerator at the National Cancer Institute in Misrata and its surrounding areas. We analyzed case statistics for 2020 and compared them with data from 2016 through 2019. The study highlights the vital and effective role of the linear accelerator in treatment—particularly given the rising number of patients—and underscores the importance of intensifying efforts to utilize and advance this technology in tumor treatment to alleviate patient suffering. We specifically focus on tumors in the chest and pelvic regions, as available reports and statistics indicate these areas have the highest incidence rates; the medical linear accelerator contributed to curative treatment in 86.30% of cases involving these regions (specifically 86.96% for pelvic cancer and 86% for chest cancer).
